To celebrate National Scrapbooking Day, all of us A Cherry On Top designers are sharing a fun 6×6 Mixer! We are using 6×6 paper pads in a fun and exciting way to inspire you to dig into your stash! Be sure to hop along to all of the blogs, ending at A Cherry on Top, leave a comment to enter the giveaways at each stop!
For my 6×6 Mixer Project, I’ve created a hexagon/floral fusion with the stunning Pinkfresh My Favorite Story collection. Using an XL Fiskars hexagon punch on the 6×6 paper pad to create an off-set pattern for the background, I mixed up the patterns as much as possible to keep it interesting!
I added small floral clusters behind the ephemera hexagons that I popped up with a dimensional glue dots. This allowed me to create three clusters, a visual triangle that leads your eye through the entire layout and gives the layout a cohesive feel.
I furthered the “Mixer” theme, I mixed up alphas and words for my title! Then, I added a bit of journaling underneath about my sweet puppy (who always makes me smile!) and then added some splattering around my clusters with gold ink.
What do you think of my take on the 6×6 Mixer? Let me know in the comments below to be entered to win the giveaway sponsored by American Crafts! This giveaway features papers from the adorable Pebbles Live Life Happy collection:
