Today, we design team members are using this fantastic mood board to create a project. We each interpreted it in a different way, so be sure to hop along to all of the blogs!
Laura Alberts here today to share a darling 9×12 layout with you as well as a 12×12 sketch version of the same design! I sometimes create a sketch to plan out layouts that I want to get “just right” before taping everything down to the page. With this layout, I wanted to illustrate how to get a vertical and horizontal photo on the same page without trying to collage them together (which is generally my go-to method!).
Today, we are preparing for holiday crafting with DIY embellishments perfect for journaling cards in your December Album, Christmas cards, or just holiday scrapping! These embellishments are all from Pinkfresh Studio’s Oh What Fun collection. These are great for personalizing your holiday crafts and projects!
This layout has both Daydream and More than Words meshed together. Using frames from both collections and backing them with cut-aparts and patterned paper to create the background, then layering my photo on top, makes for a sweet linear design that creates pockets perfect for embellishment clusters!
For November's hop, the A Cherry on Top Design Team decided to focus on 'mini' creations. My take on this prompt was to make a 4x4 inch chipboard mini album documenting one of the very few trips my husband and I have taken without kids. Our first trip together was to Hot Springs, AR in 2007 and we had a blast!
Today, we are trying out a new technique with ink sprays and mists! You may have seen how stamped embossing can mask a design, but have you tried masking with gloss gel medium? It’s just as easy with less mess!
Laura Alberts here today to share a darling 9x12 layout with you today that will truly pull at your heartstrings. My little girl doesn't fall asleep in my arms anymore, but I surely cherish the many times that she did! This layout features a color and black and white version of this photo to really emphasize the moment. The soft colors of the Daydream collection were perfect for this layout!
I went for a modified grid this time and used as many of the bits and pieces as I could on this one. I love the way it feels both full and balanced at the same time. I did a little bit of layering at the top and bottom of the grid to give it the appearance of depth, but those flair did the job for me! I love adding chunky pieces like flair and foam on my layouts, so when I decide to do a chunky layout, I go all out!
Hi y’all! Laura back again with a burst of color in this joyful layout of my darling girls playing together. I just adore their sweet friendship and have to celebrate it at every opportunity! Today’s theme is Throwback Thursday, so I reached into my stash for the very first Cocoa Vanilla collection I ever purchased, the stunning Bohemian Dream! This bold mix of pink, purple, and navy captured my heart from the very first time I saw it.
Have you every seen the large, decorated letters often used in fancy décor? I love the look of them and the personalized touch they add to a room, so I tried five different ways to decorate them and I love them all!
