“Baby, Hold My Hand” ~ 12×12 Stitched Layout

This photo has a beautiful story behind it.  It is a picture of my twin daughters as we were walking around the zoo.  Sophia, on the left, was a bit overwhelmed by the sheer volume of people around us and had gotten a bit fussy.  Olivia, on the right, grabbed her hand and babbled at her.  It was such a surprising and sweet moment, thankfully I already had my camera out!  I adore this picture and wanted to create a layout that shared the story.

I used a Felicity Jane kit, called Brooke, and fussy cut out a whole page of these floralsto layer around my photo.  Then, with a small plate, I traced two circles on the page and then poked holes for my stitching.  Using a chain stitch all the way around gave some texture and dimension to the circles!

I added peach Pinkfresh puffy alphas and Felicity Jane pink alphas for my title and then splattered with Heidi Swapp gold Color Shine and sprinkled these sweet rubber charms shaped like raindrops from the FJ kit.  Writing my journaling all around the outside of the circles was the final step!

Overall, I love how soft and sweet this layout is and I wish I’d videoed the process!  It was one of those rather involved layouts and I knew it would take me several days to finish.

I’d love for you to join me on Instagram and my Youtube Channel, where I post process videos, DIY embellishment tutorials, and so much more crafty goodness!
