Join us with the Stretch the Sketch Video Hop! Several fantastic Crafty Youtubers collaborate once a month to interpret a 12×12 sketch into a layout of any size OTHER than 12×12! Some go BIG and some shrink it down, but we are all stretching this PageMaps sketch this month:
Now, I don’t often use small photos on my layout, so I did my best to crop down two 4×6″ photos to roughly 3.5×5″ and ran with it. I chopped my layout down to 9×12″ and modified the spacing a bit.
These photos are from the Live Nativity that my church puts on featuring cows, sheep, and real people playing all of the parts in the Nativity story. My oldest son, Alex, played a guard and my Dad was a wiseman in the top photo and my daughter, Chloe, was the angel on top of the stable in the second photo. It’s an amazing performance to watch!
With a layout like this, details matter! I absolutely love the texture this doily adds to the layout and the layers of chipboard as well. The majority of this layout was created with My Mind’s Eye Christmas on Market Street, with a little bit of Pinkfresh Studio and Crate Paper scraps as well.
Overall, I’m very happy with how this layout came out and I’m excited to finish up my Christmas layouts and share a flip-through of this album on Youtube!
