This 12×12 Pocket Page is all about my husband’s “Weird, not crazy” dog, Stryder. He found him at a flea market in college and the two have been inseparable since. This dog has some pretty strange habits, but he has been the sweetest, most tolerant pet I’ve seen in a long time. He has tolerated all five of our children’s attention and love, more than can be asked of any animal!
For this layout, I used my Felicity Jane November kit, which was very fall themed. Because these photos are fairly neutral, I could have used any color scheme to scrap them.
For the title card, I layered a green vellum leaf, two ephemera leaves, and a cork leaf to make a fun little cluster. Plus, two different alphas to accent the “crazy” part of the title.
This photo had a very dark background, so I cropped it and added a title that said “wander,” but tried to modify it to read “wonder” to fit the photo. This tag was sitting in my stash, so I just added a piece of twine, another vellum leaf, and a DIY layered flower embellishment.
I punched this “Thankful for You” sentiment from another journaling card and frankensteined it onto this bright chevron card with a bit of dark green adhesive ribbon and a punched scalloped circle.
This cute green polka dot flair badge was also in the kit, so I added it on top of the page protector so that it didn’t cause the pocket to bulge. It adds a bit of 3-D to the layout that I really like!
Overall, this was a quick and easy layout to put together. One that I rather enjoyed! Stryder is a senior dog now, so it was nice to work with these photos of him from a healthier, younger time in his life.
Below is the process video for this layout. I’d love for you to join me on my Youtube Channel, where I post process videos, DIY embellishment tutorials, and so much more crafty goodness!
