December Daily Album ~ Week Two

If you haven’t seen Week One, be sure to check that out!

In continuation of my December Daily Album (an idea created by Ali Edwards), here are the layouts from Week Two!  Lots of great photos and exploring different formats with these pocket pages.  Because I’ve done process videos for all of these pages and shared them on my Youtube channel, I thought I’d streamline the blog posts for these relatively simple layouts.

Day Eight

This grid-style layout features all five of my beautiful kids in their Christmas finery at church.  I was so excited to get great pictures of all five of them individually because our group picture turned out a mess!  I kept this simple because there were so many pictures.  I did add washi to the number 8 and then added glossy accents.  Minimal embellishing with puffy stickers and tiny words.

Day Nine

This pictures is actually from Easter, but it’s the one we sent out with our Christmas cards because our attempt at an updated family photo was a big fail!  I used a paper doily under the number 9, some lace ribbon and washi under the photo and a wood veneer title.

For Day 10, I decorated this acetate piece from the Felicity Jane “Joy” kit and added lots of ribbon, washi, and flowers, then clipped a piece of this gorgeous floral paper.  On the opposite side, I did a quick layout of my daughter and I singing at church together.  Love how that turned out!  On the last page (yes, there are three for day 10!), I did a pocket page layout with a flip-flap pocket on our church Christmas party.

Day Eleven

We were super late in decorating the house this year!  Usually, we have everything done the weekend after Thanksgiving, but not this time.  For Day 11, I have 3 pages (again) and made a pocket page of our decorations, a full 6×8 photo of our awesome tree and a pocket with vellum backing for a giant journaling tag.

Day Twelve

My daughter’s school talent show was this week, so I did a layout documenting her performance.  She did a fantastic job, but I only had two photos to use.  The tag has journaling and I tucked it into a glassine bag that came with my kit’s bits and pieces in it.  I did a combination of a pocket page and the back of a 4×8 divider to use this larger photo.

Day Thirteen

file5 (2)This was a fun and very funny layout to work on!  At my son’s Cub Scout Christmas party, my husband (the Cub Master) volunteered to be pied in the face for a fundraiser…and did he ever get pied!  These pictures aren’t great quality, but I just had to include them!  My favorite part of this layout is using the white doily charm and tassels on that title card!

For Day 14, my oldest daughter had a scout Christmas party as well and we had so much fun playing a variety of games!  I made sure to include a photo of the group painting ornaments as well as close-ups of my daughter participating in the games.  This is super simple, but I love the 5×5 card insert that I made for the group photo.

Overall, this project seems to be a lot of fun!  I’d hoped to stay current with it, but as you might expect, that hasn’t happened!  I do hope to finish up the entire project by the end of December and will stop documenting on Christmas day.  You can watch all of the December Daily process videos on this Youtube playlist.

I would love to hear your thoughts on my December Daily pages so far!  Feel free to share in the comments below!
