“Thankful” ~ 12×12 Layout

These photos are very near and dear to my heart.  They feature my Dad (who has passed away) with two of his siblings and my beautiful Mom.  These pictures were taken a few years ago and scrapbooking any of his pictures has been incredibly therapeutic for me.  I used my Citrus Twist Kit from November on this layout and really thought the colors suited the photos well.

This title is made from a wood veneer word that I colored in two tones of brown to create an ombre effect.  I really love how that came out!  The Gold heart is a piece of faux flair that I made myself!

I matted this this first image three times and added a little chipboard banner, punched flower, an epoxy sticker, and two cork leaves.  All pieces from the Citrus Twist kit.  These coordinated beautifully with this base paper. those arrows are just too cool!

The second image I only matted once, but took extra care to create a larger cluster of punched flowers on top of this half of a doily.  The chipboard label fit perfectly on top of all of those flowers.  The enamel shapes and epoxy stickers in the centers were all included in the kit as well.

I grabbed this sweet “XO OX” cork banner from my stash to tie in the other cork elements and added a white heart shaped brad to the center.  This is my favorite embellishment on this page!

Overall, I love how this layout came out.  I wasn’t 100% sure I would like it because the colors I used are not usually my go-to choices, but in the end, I think it came out great!

I would love to hear what you think about this layout!  Feel free to leave a comment below or in my private Facebook group!  I also have a Youtube channel and regularly post tutorials and process videos for my creations.
