These darling photos of my two oldest kids were taken on Chloe’s first day of Kindergarten in 2012. Both kids were really excited, but Chloe was over the moon that she’d get to ride the bus for the first time. I had a lot of fun creating this Pocketless Pages style layout with my DIY kit from November.
I matted the main focal image twice, then cut out a triangle from scrap to make a photo corner. This picture is also popped up on foam tape so that I could tuck the doily and the three flower clusters underneath. The tiny word phrases around the page came from Tim Holtz and are my new favorites!
I added in a few bits and pieces leftover from my October kit like these labels (that I added purple flower brads to) and these fussy cut flowers. I really like that I was able to incorporate those elements as well!
This three level banner was made with washi tape and was the perfect amount of sparkle to add to this page. I added wood veneer shapes for accent and did a bit of doodling behind my butterfly and on the fussy cut flowers just for fun! This 3×4 card came from the Kaisercraft Sea Breeze collection.
I punched this “Me & You” circle from one of the pocket cards and turned it into an embellishment, then layered it on top of this card I cut out of the Kaisercraft card packaging! Love that the inside of that box was this beautiful wood grain.
Overall, I’m very happy with how this layout came out! I feel like I learn something new about the process every time I create one of these Pocketless Pages layouts!
Here is the process video for this fun layout:
