“Messy Moments” Egg Dying ~ 12×12 Layout

Every year, we dye eggs before Easter (so we can make deviled eggs out of them for Easter!).  These pictures are from 2013 and feature the older three kids only because I was still pregnant with the twins.  We used white crayons to draw designs on some before dying them, used stickers afterwards on some, and sponge-painted others!

I used the Felicity Jane October kit to make this Pocketless Pages style layout.  I did some fun splatters with Heidi Swapp Colorshine mists on two of the journaling cards which was exciting and nerve wracking, but I love how it came out!

I made this tag using the cardstock from the kit and the layered DIY Embellishment is punched from the packaging scraps and scraps from my stash with Nuvo drops in the center.

This title card was so much fun to do!  I layered banners cut from paper scraps underneath, used a foam title and the leatherette alphas from the kit, then lots of splatters.  I added a few stars from the ephemera pack and popped them up on 3D glue dots.

The top right journaling card has layered ephemera pieces and a stamped butterfly that I fussy cut out and added Nuvo drops on top.  Then, lots of mist splatters in Sea Foam and Gold.  I matted this card and added the scalloped border from the cardstock in the kit.

Overall, this lovely experiment with splattering was so much fun!  I will definitely be incorporating this technique on future layouts!

Let me know in the comments below what you think of this layout!  I also have a Youtube channel with Process videos and DIY tutorials.
