Here are several sweet pictures of my twins, Olivia and Sophia, playing in our backyard a few years ago. I was loving the look of the Butterfly Burst that I did on a previous layout and decided to repeat it (scraplift from myself) on these two layouts! The mistake on the first one was making the rest of the layout too busy, so I kept these pretty simple! I used my DIY October Kit to make these layouts and these beautiful butterflies came from the Pink Paislee Turn the Page Collection.
I laid out the butterflies on the page before gluing them down and added a few punched butterflies as well, with pale gold Nuvo drops added for dimension. The center picture has a chipboard banner that I cut from the packaging for this kit and three puffy hearts added on top.
To the bottom of the largest photo, I added a Doodle Pops 3-D cardstock sticker that came free with my kit order and a Pebbles cardstock sticker, “Smile.”
This layout is of Sophia and it has the rest of the butterflies flying in a slightly different configuration. I used some really tiny punched butterflies to fill in gaps on this one as well. I added a label from a cut-apart page in the My Mind’s Eye Now and Then Collection.
I added a white 4 inch doily behind the left photo and a couple of floral cluster chipboard stickers from the Pink Paislee Turn the Page Collection. The title of this layout is “Sweet” using a lovely pink script foam word from the American Craft Heart of Home Thickers.
Here’s a close-up of these fussy cut butterflies, I absolutely love them, but it took FOREVER to cut them out!
Overall, I’m happy with both of these layouts. These will be in two separate albums (one for each girl), so I’m not worried about using the same style and papers on these two layouts. I do have a process video for the Butterfly Burst here:
As always, I love to hear your thoughts on my layouts! Please feel free to share in the comments below or in my Facebook Group.
