In 2012, we had a fantastic family vacation to Biloxi, MS (on the Southern coast of Mississippi). My lovely Auth Ruth Ann joined us and we had such a great time on our visit. This is one of about 8 layouts in my annual album from that trip and these are just some group pictures in front of the palm trees and gorgeous flowers outside our hotel.
This is one of my favorite new Pocketless Pages scrapbooking styles, using 3×4 and 4×6 journaling cards and photos to create a layout on a 12×12 page. I used my DIY October Kit and I’m really happy with how this came out!
This DIY embellishment is made from many layers of punched cardstock with a ribbon of lace wrapped around the base. I cut out a piece of this gorgeous polka dot paper in 3×4 size and put two strips of washi tape on top. I added a wood veneer “Smile” and pink, glittery foam star to the main focal photo in the center. Under that, I put a bright pink doily and chipboard floral cluster from the Turn the Page Collection.
The butterfly and sign are chipboard stickers from the same package. I added a butterfly trail leading to the tag from a cut-apart sheet from Crate Paper Craft Market Collection. I punched the flower on the tag from scraps and added a bit of pink ribbon from my stash.
At the top of the page, I added three banners, one with a DIY Shop clear sticker on top that adds a gold border to it. The butterfly is a punched scrap with my favorite pale gold Nuvo drops. I added an Adornit Wood piece to the top of the photo, with a cork star. I was really shocked how big those Adornit pieces are!!
Overall, I’m very happy with this layout! I did create a process video for this layout, so I’ve added it below:
