I scraplifted from myself with this layout! In my 2012 family picture layout, I did a similar set up with a large photo in the middle a doily/flower cluster on the right side and strips below the photo to ground it on the page. I used the same Citrus Twist kit, but a different set of papers for this layout. This photo was a professional image we had taken at a studio in 2016 and it is an extremely rare shot of all 7 of us smiling AND looking at the camera!
This is a large 5×7 photo and I didn’t want to detract from this great shot, so I kept the embellishments minimal and simple. This cluster of flowers is much smaller than the one from the 2012 layout, but still from the Turn the Page ephemera pack that accompanied the kit. I only had a small 3 flower cluster and the yellow flower left, so I decided to cut the yellow flower in half and cut out the smallest flower from the 3 flower cluster out and pop it up on foam tape for more dimension. I added punched leaves and Epoxy LOVE sticker from my stash, some small wood veneer hearts, enamel shapes, and a 4 inch white doily underneath.
This beautiful floral paper is from Paige Evans’ Turn the Page collection and is absolutely stunning. I based the entire layout around it’s color scheme. The gold strip below it is gold washi tape. The faux flair is one of my DIY embellishments and the gold Thickers numbers fit as a title as this will be the cover page for my annual album for that year. All of the papers in this layout came from the Citrus Twist October kit and I’ve surprised myself with how many different patterns I used in this layout!
This small cluster in the top left corner is a banner piece from the Turn the Page Journaling pack and a banner of scrap paper with a cork heart, wood veneer heart, and two punched hearts from my stash. The “Take Me Somewhere Anywhere” flag was from the exclusive Citrus Twist cut-apart sheet. I also added some glitter puffy photo corners that have been sitting on my desk for far too long, not sure where those came from, but I love the bit of sparkle they add to the layout.
Overall, I am thrilled with how this layout came out! It was so much fun to put together and seemed to flow well. My favorite part of this layout is the cluster on the right side of the photo because I was able to stretch those embellishments!
Here is a video of my Citrus Twist October kit unboxing, which will show you the brands and names for all of the products included in the kit, in case I missed any!
