This layout began with these sweet pictures of my oldest daughter, Chloe, and youngest son, Joseph, peeping through a hole in the fence at our old house to see the neighbor’s new dog. It was such a funny and adorable sibling bonding moment, so of course I had to scrapbook it!
I used my DIY October Kit (a kit I put together myself) to create this layout and I love the texture on it! This is a combination of those papers and a few pocket cards from the Project Life Strawberry Core Kit. I ended up using a LOT of the packaging from my kit as well on this layout. The chipboard behind the photos and on the bottom border was the backing of a pack of labels from the DIY Shop! The tab on the larger photo was fussy cut from a patterned paper filled with these tabs from My Mind’s Eye Now & Then Collection.
Underneath the smaller photo and on the bottom border, I added some gold foil scalloped washi tape. Some punched hearts, stars, and tiny wood veneer hearts and cork stars in small clusters add some shine and fun!
This is a DIY embellishment is made with punched brackets stacked together, a scalloped circle, two hearts, a banner, a foam sparkly star, and word sticker! Super easy and fun way to use up scraps!
This is the 2nd page in the layout spread and I used my new favorite “Pocketless Page” style (using Project Life cards in a 12×12 layout). This side features the extra photos I had of my daughter that I just adore and couldn’t leave out! I tried to mimic the colors and style of the first half without mirroring it. The paw prints are from Jolee’s Boutique and the “Good Dog” sticker is from Paper Studio.
This lovely “Little Things” chipboard sticker came from Paige Evan’s Turn the Page collection. This butterfly is a DIY embellishment I made with a Kiwi Lane Butterfly template, my Martha Stewart Butterfly punches and some rhinestones!
This fantastic DIY embellishment is layers of paper doily, punched cardstock and enamel dots! So much fun to piece these together from my scraps!
Overall, I really enjoyed making this layout! It’s a very free-form version of my Pocketless Pages style, but I love how it came out! Below is the process video of page one:
