DIY Embellishments Using Tissue Paper

I love tissue paper! So delicate and soft! It adds a touch of whimsy to any project! These embellishments are fun and easy to do too. Love adding butterflies and flowers to any of my layouts.  Here is a quick video tutorial:

I made a whole bunch of these to stash on my desk and make them easy to add to a layout or card.  For the butterflies, I used a Kiwi Lane template for the base and two sizes of Martha Stewart Punches for the smaller layers, then added rhinestones and pearls for the body.

For the flowers, I used a variety of Kiwi Lane tiny templates and then layered on punched flowers I made from my scraps.  Some of these were finished off with pearls, some with Stickles, and some with my favorite, Nuvo Drops, for the centers.

The hearts were made with a die cut piece I had buried in my stash and just used it as a template on the tissue paper.  I punched some smaller hearts to use as templates as well as for layering.  I really like the ombre effect of the white, pink, red on both hearts!
