“Remember” ~ Memorial Layout

This picture is of a stunning necklace with my Dad’s fingerprint on it and his name/dates of life on the back that my Mom gave to me shortly after he passed away.  It is now one of my prized possessions and has so much meaning to me.  I am so very thankful that my thoughtful Mom shared this special memento with me and felt I needed to scrapbook it just to preserve it’s special memory.

This gorgeous floral background paper is from the Felicity Jane Heidi kit in September and I knew that this very simple photo would pop right off the page.  I kept the embellishment pretty simple and focused on the photo and the story behind it.  As a writer, it’s important to me that my layouts are not just pretty, but also tell a story.  The stamped lines I wrote my journaling on came from the kit as well.  I thought the tassels echoed the necklace’s shape and I really like the dimension they gave this page.  Almost all of the embellishments came from the kit, except the tiny puffy stickers (which came from my stash).

Overall, I think that this is one of my new favorite layouts and I’m really glad that my children will be able to see this and read the story behind this precious necklace.

Let me know what you think about this layout in the comments or on my Facebook Group.  I post process videos and layout flips on my Youtube Channel as well.
