“Preschool Graduation” ~ 2 Page Layout

This is a 2 page layout of my oldest daughter’s Preschool Graduation…from 2012.  Yes, I’m a tiny bit behind, but it’s okay!  That just means I have lots of beautiful pictures still to scrap!

This layout was near the end of my Felicity Jane Heidi kit from September, so I was using up scraps of papers as best I could.  My intention with this layout was to keep the two pages cohesive in colors and patterns, but add variety in the style.  The borders at the top of the first page are from branding strips on the papers in the kit, I created the embellishment in the top right corner from packaging in the kit (see my Youtube channel for ideas on how to make these!).

The focal point photo on the left is matted with scrap papers, branding strips, and some gorgeous silver star tissue paper with scalloped edges I purchased at Tuesday Morning.  I used the tag in the kit and attached a reversed journaling card to it, then cut out the label from another card and stamped the date.  The tassels were perfect for this layout as they matched the tassels on her hat perfectly! The Graduation sticker is from Jolee’s Boutique and the lace ribbon is from The Paper Studio.

On the second page, I used my Kiwi Lane templates to make a fancy border on the right side and then added a DIY embellishment that I made from the kit packaging.  I added more tassels here as well as the heart cluster to create continuity between the pages.

The gorgeous yellow floral on the right is actually a pocket that was in the kit that I opened and pieced together because I LOVED the pattern.  The black hexagon cardstock confetti also came with the kit.  On the journaling card, I placed a banner and punched star, as well as my favorite gold Nuvo drops.

Overall, I’m very happy with how it all came out and I think my daughter will love it!

Let me know what you think of my layout in the comments below or in my Facebook group!  I also have process videos for both pages on my Youtube channel.
