I’m determined to make a solid dent in my Felicity Jane September Kit before October arrives, even though I was late in September ordering it. I also wanted to see if I could create a masculine layout with this very feminine kit. Thrilled with how this layout of my husband and his friends whitewater rafting came out. This is an OLD set of pictures, circa 2011, that I’ve had sitting in a box for a while. Every time I see them, I want to scrap them, but didn’t really have a plan.
When I was working through the kit, this gray wood grain paper befuddled me a bit. I love wood grain, but I’ve never seen gray before. I decided that the rocks in these pictures worked nicely with the colors and the trees in the background made the wood grain flow. I purposely used different shades of blue so that my husband’s shirt and the boat would pop and the bits of yellow-gold related to the oars and helmets.
It ended up being a pretty simple look overall, but I spent a lot of time finagling with embellishments to find the right combination.
